ENDA B MEN & WOMENS' KEY TRENDS FOR FALL 2007

This fall designers, inspired by the classic, feminine fashions from the 1940’s & 1960’s, created a polished, elegant look using clean line tailoring and a slim silhouette. “Season less” is the new buzz word and the key to pulling it off this fall requires you to layer your looks and to accessorize. Try to incorporate opaque tights, a colorful chiffon scarf, hats, gloves or a fur collar. The key is to layer all of your looks so that you can take them from day into evening.

COATS
This season is once again all about the coat. There are a variety of styles to play with, so be daring and try the new winged or lantern sleeved coats. Cropped, bolero inspired pea coats are everywhere and are also great for our mild fall weather. The new wool cocoon coat is sure to keep you warm as we approach winter. Just remember to balance these voluminous, swingy coats with slender pants or pencil skirts and belt them whenever possible.

PANTS
Pants are strong in two silhouettes: a slouchy wide leg trouser with a higher waist or a sliming slender leg. Remember, everyone can wear the slender leg pant if it’s paired up with a chunky knit or a tunic top.

KNITS
Sweater dressing and long tunics with opaque tights are still strong. Update your look with the new light-weight chunky knits or bundle up with a hooded cape or a classic cozy. Try layering the popular oversized chunky cardigan over a slim dress. This is a great alternative to a coat or jacket! Don’t forget to belt the ever popular slouchy sweater, as belts are here to stay.

JACKETS & SUITING
Jackets are fitted and cropped. Tweed is everywhere in a modern, light-weight hand. Layering your looks requires that you have a variety of options to create new looks. So add on a cozy, shrug or poncho in place of your jacket whenever possible to pull off that clean polished look.

COLOR & SHINE
As always, fall is filled with great foundation colors, such as, black and grey. However, now is the time to add some color into your wardrobe. Choose vibrant jewel tones, such as pink, deep purple, blue and green. Metallics and prints are always a great way to break up the black. If you need to take your day look into evening, pair a sequins top with a cardigan and a great pair of pants. Now you’re good to go.

THE DRESS
Whether it’s a cotton wrap dress, a belted sweater dress or a classic tweed shift dress, you can’t go wrong with this classic, pulled together look. Remember to add on layering pieces like a cozy, cardigan or a cropped jacket to complete the look. Glam up your evening with a sequins or gun-metal dress. Fall is all about balancing matte with shine.

FABRICS
Fabrics are multifaceted. Tweeds are back in big way. Try mixing them with glossy-looking handbags or with patent leather shoes. Shiny silk or satin blouses and skirts are strong along with the always popular cashmere and angora sweaters and wraps.

SHOES & HANDBAGS
Round toe platform pumps are still big. Shiny black patent leather pumps are everywhere and the new bootie pump is a fall must have. Don’t worry; the riding boot is here to stay. Handbags come in extreme sizes, big or small with nothing in-between. Try a large patent leather or metallic handbag for that extra glam and shine. For a softer look, try a ruche leather handbag or a small evening clutch. Whatever you decide, make sure your handbag shines!
